Friends of Lili`uokalani Gardens, a 501(c)(3) public charity, was formed in 2012 to help the County prepare for the centennial of the Crescent City’s crown jewel — a 24-acre Japanese-style pond-and-stroll garden by the bay. Monthly, we coordinate volunteers to participate in maintenance and improvement projects. In 2017, centennial events will be held throughout the year.
Located in the ili of Makaoku now called the Waiakea peninsula, Lili`uokalani Gardens is among the County Park system’s most heavily used parks.
As a County park, Lili`uokalani Gardens is open, free, every day of the year.
